Newfoundland OH CANADA!

David Hemmings just finished the annual July Newfoundland Bird-in-flight Photography Workshop and it was incredible! Canada has so much to offer and Newfoundland is one of those places not to be missed. You really feel like you are at the edge of the earth at Cape St. Mary’s, the 3rd largest Gannet colony in the world. Be surrounded by thousands of birds flying about as you look out into the ocean. The Gannets are graceful and spectacular as they soar about. When the light hits them just right, a perched Gannet creates an amazing image like this one below taken by one of our participants, Jim Wickless. Your Photo Workshop Leader, David Hemmings will ensure you get those incredible flight shots and explain how to track and focus on a moving subject, in addition to the in depth photo learning experience as you travel to some of the most beautiful places in Newfoundland. Many of our participants are at all levels from beginners to experts. There is always something exciting and new with photography. This year Dave and the group enjoyed photographing bald eagles perched on yellow flowers. Enjoy the Canadian culture and take advantage of the incredible photo opportunities.

We still have a couple of spaces open for July 2017, so get your photo arm in shape as you come up with some incredible landscape, bird-flight images and not to forge the wonderful memories from your Hemmings Photo Tour. Happy Shooting! Read more about the Newfoundland Photo Tour
