How to Add Copyright & File Info to Photos

Adding the copyright logo on your images next to your name will give your image more of a professional look as well as tell the world that you would like to be contacted prior to having your image copied and sent to others.
Imagine, you just successfully photographed one of those incredible Brown Bear Photographs while on the Alaska Bear Photography Tour.
WOW! What an Image! Congratulations!
The world should know you are the artist and photographer behind this wonderful bear photograph.
You want to ensure you embed the rights of ownership of this image with your name. This will make it easier for the stock image companies to contact you to purchase or ask you to use your image. This will tell stock photo agencies who you are and the JPEG will also provide image details.
Such details include your camera settings, type of lens and camera you took the photo with. How to add the your name and the copyright logo on your images.
Add you name after you have re-sized your photo for web.
In Adobe Photoshop CS5 – Select the T (Text) button. Place your text curser and insert your name. Keep the tone and color of the text as a complementary as possible to your image. Remember you want your subject to be the first thing that draws people eye not your name taking away from the viewer’s experience.
After your name is in place add the Copyright Logo ©.
To inser the copyright logo on your photograph, press the ALT key and hold down as you type 0169
You should see the © appear. You can change the size of it just like regular text editing.
Adding file information to your image is important. It relays your contact informationt to anyone looking to purchase or find out who took such a marvelous photograph!
How to Add File Info to your image:
-Press the Alt+Shift+Ctrl I (caps i) OR you can select the File Info selection
from the drop down menu located under the File Tab (Top left corner).
-A window will appear with boxes to add plenty of information.
-Document Title: Name your Image
-Copyright Status: You can add Copyrighted from the drop down menu
-Add your personal website with contact details.
-Okay
-Save
