Keeping Batteries Warm in Winter

The cold is hard on all of us, including your equipment and batteries. Battery life is shortened substantially due to the cold temperatures. We recommend carrying a back- up battery in your inner pocket of your jacket or wrap it in a Hot Shot, also known as a hand warmer in your pant pocket. Rotate your batteries when you see at only 25% left and you will notice your battery life will live longer. If you have access to a vehicle, place them on the windshield blower and they will quickly warm up and once again have some life.

Recommended Product: If you are out in the wilderness and need to keep those hands and batteries warm, use a hand muff. Manufacturers: TextPac and RedHead. Available at outdoor stores.

Stay warm and happy shooting!
