WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: Lake Clark has been called "the essence of Alaska", as it combines a variety of landscapes not found together in any of the other Alaska Parks. The park has three separate mountain ranges, two active volcanoes, stretching fertile coastlines, tundra and rainforest, what a variety!  No roads lead to the park and it can only be reached by small aircraft, floatplanes being the best method. The park is one of the least visited in North America. We will be based in an exclusive, centrally located lodge which we will have to ourselves. The bears can quite often be spotted from the deck of the lodge. We will be travelling by foot and ATV’s with carts to our pristine shooting locations. We will be in the presence of experienced guides who will make locating the bears a success. Once at our locations we will be able to see and shoot mother bears with their cubs feeding, foraging and playing about in the tundra surroundings.

Just imagine standing at close range to a 1,100 pound + male brown bear at eye level and taking images, an experience you will not soon forget, and we can do it all day, every day with no concerns about safety or crowds of people. The bears have plenty of Salmon to feed on and are not interested in us as a part of their diet. You will be able to capture images of the bears feeding on fish, digging for razor clams and charging through the shallow waters to chase their prey. A lot of these photo opps will be a close range with frame filling images using 300mm, 400mm and 500mm lenses! In addition to the bears we will also be making a few side trips to photograph Tufted and Crested Puffins, Bald Eagles as well as a close by rookery where we could see and shoot Kittiwakes and Common Murres. One day trip will also be to a lovely spot called Shelter Creek where we will have the chance to shoot bears in different surroundings with some beautiful “bearscape” possibilities.

Come with Nature’s Photo Adventures to one of the most secluded and breathtaking places on earth to capture images of a lifetime of the Alaskan Brown Bear, the epitome of Alaska.

Above a video of Jane and Diane give a review of the 2014 Alaska Bears Photo Workshop Experience! "Exceeded our Expectations!

We have taken our clients on the Alaskan Brown Bears, Mothers and Cubs for several years. It is has been  a great success every year!

'Anyone looking for an experience of a lifetime will find it on a journey on the Alaskan coastal brown bears at Lake Clark National Park. The Alaskan coastal brown bear adventure will steal your heart - so when you go you just might find a piece of my heart right there where I left it!"  Liz  Moffett Breault

Me , and the other guys as well, consider this workshop to be one of our best wildlife experience ever. And consider that Mirek, Pavel and myself …we have visited many countries and continents. And we are able to compare. And this comparison is very succesful in favour of Natures Photo Adventures. Also, we were lucky that the weather was nice …for Alaska. It was a great help „from above“

Organization was great: everything went very smoothly: travelling-accomodation-photo opportunities. We were a group but … also we could consider eventual individual programme according to interest of individual guys.

J Pavlicek and Group

We had a great time  at Lake Clark with the brown bears!  We had every opportunity to be where the bears and birds were, at the right time and in the best position. We greatly enjoyed being there and the other participants and had a wonderful time!"  Steve and Suzanne Barger
